With the latest news of Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh being fined a whopping $100,000 for an illegal block, the FOX Football Daily guys discussed the process of being fined. From the sounds of it, it’s not a pretty situation.
“It’s Wednesday, every Wednesday and you may not do something that you know you’re getting fined for and they fine you anyway,” Bears former linebacker Brian Urlacher said. “You didn’t think you did anything wrong and then you go to your locker and there is a fine sitting there waiting for you for no reason you can think of.”
According to a fancy graphic on the show, Urlacher was fined five times during his NFL career, totaling $166,750. On the other hand, Randy Moss was fined 10 times amounting an even $160,000.
Moss remembers acting very nonchalant when he was about to be targeted by the league. Moss said that he would hesitate while walking in the locker room and then when he saw the FedEx package leaning on his locker, he knew it was trouble.
