The Buccaneers apparently can’t catch a break. With their season already off to a disastrous 0-6 start, things have turned for the worse.
Sources tell FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo that running back Doug Martin could miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
Source tells @FOXSports1 Buccaneers RB Doug Martin suffered what’s believed to be a torn labrum in his shoulder. Season possibly over.

Martin suffered the injury during the Buccaneers’ 31-23 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. The team is holding out hope that Martin can return at some point this season, but it’s not looking good.
However, even if he is able to get healthy before the season ends, Tampa’s season is already a train wreck. It might not be worth risking further injury by rushing Martin back soon. The Buccaneers rank 20th in the league in rushing offense as Martin has averaged 3.6 yards per carry.
Backup running back Mike James will more than likely get the start when the Bucs take on the Panthers on Thursday night.
