Last week was not a good week for collegiate superstars turned NFL flameouts.
Cliff Harris (left), an All-American with the Oregon Ducks in 2010 who was dismissed from the program in 2011, was busted in New Jersey for possession of marijuana on April 29. Harris, who was employed by the Jets at the time, was immediately released. Then just four days later, he was arrested in Hillsboro, Ore., on charges of domestic harassment after reportedly arguing with his girlfriend in a Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot. That’s not a joke. And now, KPTV in Oregon is reporting that Harris was arrested on Tuesday for failing to appear in court.
That’s pretty bad. Actually, that’s really bad. But, thankfully for Harris, it could be even worse. Just ask Titus Young (right). You remember him, right?
Young played his college ball at Boise State. But since leaving the Broncos for the NFL in 2011, he hasn’t made coach Chris Petersen proud. Young was released by two teams this offseason (Lions and Rams) — and that’s the good news! This past Sunday, he was arrested twice in 15 hours by the Moreno Valley (Calif.) Police Department.
