Remember Chaz Schilens? You know, the former New York Jet who caught 28 balls last season? The guy trying to line up with the Lions’ starting offense this year? Yeah, that guy.
Well, Chaz … or shall we call him Mr. Schilens, decided to go off when asked about his 6-10 season with Gang Green in 2012.
“For me there?” Schilens said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “Really, when it came down to it, I kind of felt like they were looking for scapegoats and besides everyone except for, you know, maybe the quarterback position, and it was what it was. When free agency didn’t start off right away, I just kind of understood what it was and part of the business.”
Schilens, who will suit up against his former team on Friday, didn’t completely eviscerate everyone in the Jets building, but he did use an old adage which could be interpreted in multiple ways.
When asked about quarterback Mark Sanchez, Schilens quipped: “Nothing good to say, so I’m not going to say nothing.”
OK, well then. Can’t wait for Friday. This should be good.
