When Matt Hasselbeck signed a two-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in March, he understood that he wouldn’t be the franchise quarterback. Oh yeah, one other thing. Hasselbeck might have to change his jersey number.
Second-year quarterback and former Mr. Irrelevant Chandler Harnish wears the number (8), but Hasselbeck tried to cut a deal with the youngster.
Instead of flexing his massive-sided ego (just kidding!) and stripping the young QB of his number, the 14-year veteran made Harnish an offer he couldn’t refuse.
If Harnish could make a half-court shot on his first attempt, Hasselbeck would hand him $8,000 for the number. Well, guess what? Hasselbeck better fork over the cash, because Harnish sunk the shot.
In the YouTube video, Harnish says that he will donate the money to the charity Dollars for Scholars. What a class act. Welcome to Indy, Matt.
