The Raiders traded for Matt Flynn earlier this month following a season in which the quarterback lost his starting gig to rookie Russell Wilson. Well, it could be déjà vu for Flynn.
The Raiders spent a fourth-round pick on Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson on Saturday.
Last offseason, Flynn was a hot commodity. Seattle handed the QB a three-year deal worth $26 million, but he couldn’t hold off the feisty rookie, who led the team to the brink of the NFC Championship Game.
Oakland now has a few quarterbacks on the roster including Terrelle Pryor. Would you be surprised to see Tyler Wilson come in and compete for the gig? Wilson started two years at Arkansas and dealt with a fair share of adversity during his time in Fayetteville.
For now, Flynn better be focused on himself and not looking over his shoulder.
